8:00 am-4:00 pm (8:00-11:00 am, Workshop, OIT College Union Mt. Bailey / Mt Thielsen Rooms; 11:00 am-4:00 pm, Self-directed Photography)
Join Jim Dicecco and other Canon technical instructors for a morning workshop on photography using the EOS digital SLR camera. You will see many examples of great photography and learn techniques for any camera on using exposure, composition, flash, and a variety of lenses to get the same types of results. During this course you will become familiar with the operation and features of the EOS camera and discover how and when to control them for dramatic results. Then you will learn to expand your creative options using different camera features and photographic techniques to evolve your pictures from snapshots to photographs, and see actual examples of how Canon lenses and Speedlite flashes can be used to add impact to your pictures. After the workshop, take a self-directed photo safari to local refuges and nearby birding sites using birding trail maps. Indoor/Outdoor.
