Jr. & Sr. High School Art Contest
Guidelines
- Art must feature Klamath Basin habitats. (animals, birds, landscapes, plants)
- Limited to 2-dimensional work. No sculptures.
- Art will be grouped; (7 - 8), (9 - 12) grades.
Best of Show in groups (7 - 8) & (9 - 12) will receive a ribbon and cash award.
Place ribbons and an award will be given for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and honorable mention for each grade group. - NO tracing will be allowed! May work from photographs, taxidermy models; creative interpretation is encouraged.
- All artwork must be matted --- NO FRAMES ALLOWED! Artwork will not exceed 16 x 20 inches (This includes the mat.)
- Artist must use and affix provided name tags to back of mat so that the tag can be folded up for judging and visible for viewing afterwards.
- Judging will be the morning of Feb. 1, 2010
- All art work will displayed for public viewing, Feb. 1st - 11, 2010, at the City District office at 1336 Avalon St, Klamath Falls.
- On Feb. 12th the winners (Best of Show, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and honorable mention) from each grade will be moved to O.I.T. for viewing during the Winter Wings Festival.
- Art delivery: All student including private schools and home schools must deliver their art to the Klamath County District Office, (10501 Washburn Way) or to the Klamath Falls City District Office, (1336 Avalon St.) by Friday January 29th.
- Art return: Art will be returned to respective school.
